United States Marine, 20-year-old Lance Corporal Brandon Tucker huddles up to his explosive detection dog “Auggie” to keep warm during the night. Brandon is a Marine Dog Handler. He is from Guntersville Alabama. This was is first operational deployment to Afghanistan. His Improvised Explosive Device, (IED); Detector Dog was called Auggie. Brandon and Auggie had been working together for six months. Marjah district Helmand province, southern Afghanistan 26th May 2010.


Hugh Poate, the father of murdered Australian soldier Robert Poate at home in Canberra after receiving the news that the murderer (Afghan Army Sergeant Hekmatullah) of his son and two other soldiers is set to be released by the Afghan government in a prisoner exchange deal with the USA.
On 29 August 2012, Robert was tragically killed along with two of his mates by enemy fire at Patrol Base Wahab, Oruzgan Province, Baluchi Valley, Afghanistan.

Bruce Allen back in Cobargo 12 months after the fire. Twelve months after the worst fires in living memory devastated thousands of lives and destroyed hundreds of homes on the New South Wales South-Coast, people are trying to rebuild their lives. One such bloke is Bruce Allen, Deputy Captain of the Eurobodalla Group South 3 NSW RFS Brigade who responded to the inferno that engulfed Cobargo on the 31st December 2019.

Cathy Healy, is an aged pensioner who lost her home in the bushfires NYE 2020. She is only just starting to rebuild now, while still living in a caravan. She has a number of horses on her property including Lochie, which was there during the bushfires. If Lochie hears fire sirens his ears will still prick up and he will come to Cathy. 26th February 2021.
